Ana Maria has been an attorney for over 20 years. Following her graduation from Rutgers School of Law – Newark, she clerked in the Civil Part of the Law Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. Following her judicial clerkship, Ana Maria spent time in private practice and thereafter joined Thomson Reuters. While at Thomson Reuters, Ana Maria managed and negotiated multi-million-dollar contracts and trained hundreds of attorneys and other legal professionals on legal research. Since returning to private practice, Ana Maria has handled numerous diverse matters in state court and is now focusing her practice on criminal law, debt negotiation, and consumer matters, including but not limited to bankruptcy.
Ana Maria is admitted to practice in New Jersey and New York State and Federal courts. She is a member of the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, the Bergen County Bar Association lawyer USA, and the New Jersey State Bar Association. Ana Maria was recently awarded the 2020 NNJLS Champion of Justice Award for her commitment to pro bono work.
